COMMENT continues...:
Laurel Lindstrom "flowers" her rhetoric with words of support (lip service) for the South Norwalk
communities, but her bottom line is to save funds at whatever cost necessary even to the detriment of the 7 communities and groups of residents
deeply affected by the controversy.
Bill Krummel hurried a meaningless Resolution through DPW Committee calling for local and state cleanup of the area despite Harold Alvord, DPW Director's
words like, "DPW doesn't have enough people to do the work", "DPW does not have the capacity at this time" and "lack of efficiency"; meaningless because
feeble measures have been tried before to no avail.
Mayor Dick Moccia, took himself out of the controversy, recently debunked the issue at the council level directing Director Alvord to leave the Meadow
Street transfer station out and to pursue the “next best alternative”, to use the Crescent Street transfer station only. Republican council members
are quiet, and Why shouldn't they be?
Three Democratic council members have already lined up with Mayor Moccia as surrogates to do his “dirty work“. Fred Bondi, Bill Krummel and Laurel
Lindstrom have positioned themselves in favor of dumping more trash in South Norwalk affecting 7 communities in the process.
Steven Serasis said it best..., "the well being of the people is more important than money" Serasis addressed the DPW Committee in eloquent terms for the
protection of the quality of life and for the rights of the People to preserve a healthy environment.
But, nine Democratic council members out of a council composition of 15 members can't get a majority vote to help the People of Harbor View Association,
Village Creek, Wilson Point, Meadow Gardens, Neighborhood Coalition for Open Government -a coalition of residents-, Shorefront Park and residents
of South Norwalk.
Despite pleas and repeated calls from Democratic District B Committee to the effect that all nine Democratic council members should stick together on
this issue and vote to help the communities; above named 3 members of the council decided to side with Republicans one more time. Well, this is one
time too many. It's not the first time.

IN ALL INSTANCES, IT APPEARS LIKE FRED BONDI IS LEADING THIS HAVOC.
THIS TIME AROUND IS BONDI, KRUMMEL AND LINDSTROM SIDING WITH THE REPUBLICANS.
THIS IS AN OUTRAGE AND A TOTAL DISGRACE!
DEMOCRACY STARTS AT THE GRASSROOTS LEVEL, DEMOCRATIC COUNCIL MEMBERS SHOULD DELIVER ON THAT PROMISE.
NOVEMBER, 2007. At the first council meeting after the November 2007 elections, Democratic members of the council sided with Republicans and
relinquished leadership to Republican members at a time when the Democratic members had a majority in the council.
Here are some of the comments and just another example,
Nov 21, 2007
The time of senseless agreement is over.
Bi-partisanship: YES (when its done for the benefit of the People and betterment of Norwalk)
Partisanship: YES (when its done to oppose Republican cronyism and old business as usual)
DEMOCRAT Bondi for President of the council, (nominated by REPUBLICAN Hempstead)
DEMOCRATIC CAUCUS NOMINATES DOUG SUTTON.
Vote for Bondi: Geake, Hilliard, Bondi (not a good sign)
Lindstrom, Krummel, Brown, Serasis, Sutton, Bolden (Kudos for sticking together) Don’t listen to bad comments, its a plot.
Vote: 9 - 6 for Bondi
Noticed how (all) 6 Republicans stuck together for partisanship and used 3 Democratic members for their purpose?
Whatever happened in the combined caucus stinks! It was a trap and some fell into it.
What happened in the Democratic Caucus? (did you have a real caucus?) and Who’s being divisive?
We are taking notice!!!

Nov 21, 2007
The writing is on the wall.
COMMITTEE CHAIR ASSIGNMENTS
Republican vote: 6 YES (unanimous)
SPLIT Democratic vote,
Democratic vote: 4 YES (Bondi, Hilliard, Geake, Bolden) -voted for 2 Republican Chairs- against traditional majority rule. (not a good sign)
Notice how (all) 6 Republicans stuck together and used above 4 Democratic members for their purpose?
Democratic vote: 5 NO (Lindstrom, Brown, Krummel, Serasis, Sutton. Kudos for sticking together)
Vote for committee Chairs: 10 - 5
What happened in the Democratic Caucus?
Republicans divide and conquer; »»»Hilliard, Geake, Bondi. Bolden. Sleeping with the enemy?
Noticed that Moccia didn't call for more nominations?
Wake Up People!!!
Moccia and Conroy get on the record,
Moccia: I don't know if we can use congress as an example of good government.
Conroy (chimed in): I don't think we should use congress as an example.
NOTE (Nov. 2007):
Bondi, Hilliard and Geake sided with Republicans on both counts, Bolden once.
THIS IS NOT A MATTER OF MONEY, IT'S A MATTER OF THE '2009 LOCAL ELECTIONS!!!
